Tottenham Hotspur eased to a 2-0 win over Anzhi Makhachkala to take control of Group K in the Europa League.

Despite making several changes to his starting line-up, Andre Villas-Boas men went ahead in the 34th minute when Jermain Defoe fired home before summer signing Nacer Chadli made it 2-0 with a cool finish just minutes later. Spurs were the better side throughout and saw the game out in the second half to move on to six points and put themselves in excellent shape to qualify for the knockout stages.
