Tottenham Hotspur eased to a comfortable 2-0 win over Anzhi Makachkala on Thursday night to take a huge step towards qualification to the knockout stages of the Europa League.

Goals from Jermain Defoe and Nacer Chadli secured the victory to move Spurs four points clear of second placed Sherrif Tiraspol.

German youngster Lewis Holtby started the game alongside Moussa Dembele in midfield and after the match he posted a picture of the pair as they prepared to make the long, grueling, journey home from Russia to north London. See it below:
