Is it True???

From certain “highly reputable” sources, it seems that Arsenal have beaten out Chelsea, AC Milan, Real Madrid and others in securing the services of Belgian behemoth Romelu Lakuka. The 17-year-old, who has often been hailed as the new Drogba stands at 6’3” which is 1 inch taller than Drogba and is arguably physically better built than the Chelsea striker.

Now its believed that the boss is interested in not only Romelu, but also his younger brother Jordan, who plays in defence of the Anderlecht B team. It is probably this fact that swung the balance in Arsenals favour – with their parents preferring that they stay together if they were to move out of Belgium.

Romelu’s father Roger was also a professional footballer playing for various clubs in Belgium as well as representing the Zaire national team in the 1994 world cup qualifying rounds. Romelu himself is already a fully capped international player, having already represented Belgium 4 times.

Ever since he scored 121 goals in 88 matches for the Anderlecht youth team, Lakuka had been earmarked to leave Belgium sooner rather than later. Also by scoring 18 goals in 42 matches in Belgian Pro League, which would rate somewhere between the Championship and the Premier league, the guy has shown great ability at a very young age. Now along with these phenomenal statistics Lakuka has scored 3 times in Anderlechts Champion’s league qualification campaign, with 2 goals against Ajax, thus showing that he will not be overawed when playing against the bigger teams in Europe.

Finally, we should all hope that this deal does go through as it then puts the finishing touch on Arsene’s “Masterplan.” Imagine a team like this in 4-5 years time :

——————————————————–SZCZESNY——————————————————–

—-????————————–KOSHER———————————TOMMY-V——————-GIBBS——-

———————————————————-SONG———————————————————–

——————————–WILSHERE——————————RAMSEY—————————————-

—–THEO—————————————————————————————————–????———

——————————————————-LAKUKA————————————————————

Although this team does ignore the likes of Nasri, Jay Emanuel Thomas, Diaby and many more, who may turn out to be gems themselves, yet all in all, the future looks bright. Now I doubt the same can be said about our competitors who just throw money at any problem they encounter, but lets face it. Sooner rather than later that money will run out and then we shall see how things look on a level playing field………..

Would you like to see Arsenal sign lakuka? Please leave your opinions below…

IS IT ON THE ARSENAL WEBSITE.??

TILL IT IS DON’T TALK LIKE HE IS OURS CAUSE YOU’LL JUST BE DISAPPOINTED WHEN MAN SWEATY OR CHELSKUM PAY 90MILL FOR HIM.

GIVE IT TIME. SOME CLUBS WILL BE GOING THE SAME PATH AS LIVERPOOL.

WOULD BE A CLASS SIGNING BUT NOT TILL HE ACTUALLY “IS” A SIGNING

It’s Lukaku, not Lukaka! And I wouldn’t take anything for granted just yet.

The post never says that it is a done deal, it is just discussing what is being reported, and for the people who are a bit thick, when something is in inverted comma’s it is generally refering to something sarcastically….

    haha………….
    Arsenal is going for him…
    Funny…………..
AW is going to pay 18 mill for one player. Its too funny to believe.
After long years may be can hear from AW.
That player was so close with us. But we could not sign and all, like he said about Drogba and Ronaldo.

I would suggest Hazard(Wing) and Van Der Wiel(RB) for the missing spots there..

I aslo believe he is what Arsenal needs right now, but like the wise ones that have already commented. Better to wait until we know for certain!

Lukaka with his parents counsel will make the right decision for this bright prospect. Among my wish list for Arsenal, he ranks No 1. Might it prove to be delayed hope. No celebrations yet for this bear!

Difficult to say on this one. Heard it first on TalkSport.
I find it very hard to see it happen considering all things Arsenal. Deep in my heart I “wish” this was true. Like others have said I’d err on caution and wait but it’s better to expect it not to happen. I’m taking this with a tiny pinch of salt until it (if it does) gain momentum.

I have been watching the youngsters come in with great interest, and am delighted that the British youth also have raised their game.

How I long the see the first team that competitive.

Sad for Mannone, having talked the talk this week, he had a poor day at the office. He needs now to pick himself up, dust himself down, get back on his bike and work harder. We all have had egg on our faces some time or other in life, but what he must not do is like the look of it and walk around all day with his head down. Get Up, wash your face, and get back to work!

There’s more sources saying he has signed for Madrid and Chelsea than arsenal. Please dont get your hopes up people because I fully expect us to get outbidded by those teams.

i hope this happens but like most of you, i wouldnt hold my breath. arsenal have a very bright future with great young players like ramsey, wilshere, frimpong, lansbury, mannone, freeman, vela, gibbs and eastmond to name but a few. lukaka, sakho and hazard would only strengthen an already great team.

John terry isnt as good as mitchell ford and jacob grimsdell who are in the barcelona reserve squad and have scored 3 hat-tricks in 2 games in the pre-season friendly’s. They are still able to play for england and are holding talks with the F.A and are expected to be playing in the 2012 euro’s as they have proven to be better than emile heskey (not hard) and are currently teaching wayne rooney how to hit the target. They have also been linked with moves to burton albion for an undisclosed fee but estimated to be around the £13 -£14 million mark with first team play garenteed and captaincy for jacob grimsdell with mitchell ford as vice captain, chelsea have also been linked with the superstar pair but do not have the funds to pay there wages.
