Tottenham beat Aston Villa 2-0 at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon to move up to fifth spot in the Premier League table.

In-form winger Andros Townsend opened the scoring midway through the first half when his cross evaded everybody in the box to nestle into the far corner of brad Guzan’s net. Striker Roberto Soldado then sealed the three points with a second in the 69th minute to move Spurs above Southampton into fifth, level on points with fourth-placed Manchester City.
