[Video Goals] Arsenal 1-2 Borussia Dortmund: Lewandowski Sinks Gunners

By on October 22, 2013

Arsenal’s Champions League hopes hang in the balance after losing 2-1 to Borussia Dortmund at the Emirates on Tuesday night.

The Germans went ahead early on when Ramsey lost possession on the edge of his own area before Mkhitaryan found the back of the net from 18 yards. The home side hit back just before half time through Giroud but striker Lewandowski – who was fortunate to still be on the pitch following an elbow on Koscielny – struck the winner after a superb counter attack.

The loss leaves Arsenal sitting level on 6 points with Napoli and Dortmund, with games away in Germany and Italy to come.
