Capital One Cup Quarter Final Draw: Big Guns Kept Apart

Capital One CupThe draw for the quart finals of the Capital One Cup has been conducted tonight and the ‘big guns’ have all been kept apart.

Manchester United eased into the quarters with a 4-0 win over Norwich City on Tuesday with Javier Hernandez helping himself to a brace and David Moyes side have been rewarded with an away trip to face Stoke City at the Britannia.

Chelsea booked their place in the hat for the next round with a 2-0 win over London rivals Arsenal at the Emirates on Tuesday and the Blues will now face an away trip to the winner of Sunderland and Southampton.

Manchester City were forced into extra time before eventually seeing off Newcastle 2-0 thanks to goals from Alvaro Negrado and Edin Dzeko and they will now take on Championship side Leicester away from home.

Tottenham Hotspur were taken all the way to penalties by Hull City on Wednesday night with Andre Villas-Boas men progressing 8-7 and the north Londoners will now face West Ham at White Hart Lane for a place in the semi finals.

Ties will be scheduled to be played on the week commencing 16th December.
