Chelsea Confirm Signing Of Young Attacker
Chelsea FC have confirmed the signing of young attacker Bertrand Traore on a four-and-a-half-year contract from Association Jeunes Espoirs De Bobo-Dioulasso.
Although the summer transfer window is officially closed that doesn’t stop clubs working hard behind the scenes to prepare for future signings, so we’ll keep you up-to-date with all the latest gossip. Today, Chelsea announce the signing of Bertrand Traore.
Chelsea have confirmed the signing of young attacker Bertrand Traore on a long-term contract.
The 18-year-old has been on the Blues radar for some time and was taken as a trialist on the clubs pre-season tour of Asia in the summer. He impressed hugely, playing in all three games and scored a stunning goal in an 8-1 win over an Indonesia All Star team.
However, the West Londoners were unable to sign Traore on a permanent deal until his 18th birthday last month and after agreeing a four-and-a-half-year deal with the youngster, the paperwork has just been completed and the club have announced his signing on their official website.
A statement on Chelseafc.com read:
Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce an agreement to sign Bertrand Traore. The 18-year-old has agreed a four-and-a-half year contract.
Traore joins Chelsea from Association Jeunes Espoirs De Bobo-Dioulasso and is a full international for Burkina Faso – making his debut back in 2011 at just 15 years old.
The attacker has 10 senior caps to his name already and played at the 2012 African Cup of Nations, while he also helped his nation win the African Under-17’s championship.
