Arsenal & Man Utd Target ‘In Talks’ With Clubs Over January Move
The agent of Arsenal and Manchester United target Ever Banega has confirmed they are already in talks with interested parties over a potential January move.
Although the summer transfer window is officially closed that doesn’t stop clubs working hard behind the scenes to prepare for future signings, so we’ll keep you up-to-date with all the latest gossip. Today, Arsenal and Man Utd are linked with Ever Banega.
The agent of Arsenal and Manchester United target Ever Banega has confirmed they are already in talks with interested parties over a potential January move away from Valencia, according to the Express.
The 25-year-old has fallen out-of-favour with coach Miroslav Djukic at the Mestalla this season and with the 2014 World Cup just around the corner, it seems he’s keen to secure a move when the transfer window re-opens in January in order to get regular first team football under his belt.
The Argentinean international’s agent, Marcelo Simonian, has confirmed that he’s already in talks with several clubs regarding a potential move and is due to meet with Valencia officials over the next few days to discuss the various offers.
“I can only tell you that we are already talking with several clubs in relation to the next window.
“In the next few days I will be travelling to present all the options to Valencia.” Simonian is quoted as saying by the Express.
The Express claim that Arsenal and Manchester United have shown a keen interest in Banega, suggesting they could be among the clubs talking to the player’s agent about a switch to the Premier League.
Arsenal have started the season superbly and have a wealth of midfield options already, but with the likes of Mathieu Flamini, Abou Diaby, Jack Wilshere and Mikel Arteta all having their own injury problems so far this campaign, boss Arsene Wenger could be on the look-out for another defensive minded midfielder this winter and Banega would fit the bill.
The newspaper claims that United boss David Moyes is looking to strengthen his midfield options in January after a difficult start to life at Old Trafford and Banega is on his radar, but the English pair could face stiff competition from the likes of Inter Milan and Napoli with the Italian duo also understood to be keen on signing the player.
