Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that Arsenal and Manchester United target Marco Reus does have a buy-out clause in his contract, according to Sky Sports News.

Reus joined Dortmund in the summer of 2012 after Jurgen Klopp’s men triggered a release clause in his contract at Borussia Monchengladbach, and the attacker has settled in well at the Westfalenstadion scoring 29 goals in 64 appearances so far.

It appears his impressive form has caught the eye of several clubs throughout Europe with reports suggesting that Arsenal and Manchester United have joined the likes of Barcelona and PSG in weighing up making a move to try and prize him away from the Bundesliga.

The interested parties have now been boosted with Dortmund executive Hans-Joachim Watzke confirming that the 24-year-old has a buy-out clause in his contract meaning he can be snapped up for a set price – believed to be in the region of €35million (£29.4m) – and there’s nothing the club can do about it.

“Marco Reus possesses a release clause option in his current contract at our club. He could leave our club due to that.

“He is, however, the only player in our first-team squad that has such a contract clause.” Watzke is quoted as saying by Sky Sports

The German international’s current contract is believed to run until 2017 and Sky Sports claim Dortmund are desperately looking tie him down to a new improved deal which would see the buy-out clause removed, so the likes of Arsenal and United may have to act fast if they want to try and land the exciting attacker.

Rues is a fine player and I will love to see him in arsenal jessey, but I like to advise arsenal to sign Bentika of aston villa if they dream of winning anything this season. Giroud is already burning out and no good replacement for him. Benzema is good, but Bentika has more english league experience and can fit in better with arsenal style of play. Gunners 4 life.
