[Teams] Tottenham vs Man Utd: Confirmed Line-Ups

By on December 1, 2013

Tottenham Hotspur welcome Manchester United to White Hart Lane this lunchtime with both sides looking to close the gap on the top four.

Spurs head into the game sitting ninth – 11 points of leaders Arsenal – while United are just a point better off so both teams need a win to keep their title aspirations alive.

United have been dealt a blow with Robin van Persie not deemed fit enough to start, Shinji Kagawa keeps his place and will support Wayne Rooney in attack. However, Nemanja Vidic returns at the back.

Andre Villas-Boas has made several changes from the side that won in midweek with the likes of Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen, Paulinho  and Aaron Lennon all coming in.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Lloris; Walker, Chiriches, Dawson, Vertonghen; Paulinho, Sandro; Lennon, Dembele, Chadli; Soldado

Subs: Friedel, Kaboul, Capoue, Holtby, Sigurdsson, Townsend, Defoe

Man Utd

De Gea; Smalling, Vidic, Evans, Evra; Cleverley, Jones; Welbeck, Kagawa, Valencia; Rooney.

Subs: Lindegaard, Rafael, Anderson, Fellaini, Nani, Young, Hernandez
