Predicted Chelsea Starting XI To Take On Crystal Palace – Torres To Return?

Chelsea entertain Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon looking to close the gap at the top of the Premier League.

The Blues head into the weekend action sitting five points off leaders Arsenal but with the Gunners taking on Man City and Liverpool playing Tottenham on Sunday, Jose Mourinho’s men can take advantage by securing all three points against the Eagles.

Mourinho made some changes to his line-up for Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Steaua Bucharest so is expected to recall a number of first team players. Petr Cech will come back in between the sticks for Mark Schwarzer while Cesar Azpilicueta could be restored at left-back with Ashley Cole dropping back to the bench.

Frank Lampard may get a rest after starting in midweek with Ramires the man likely to come back in, while Andre Schurrle could be recalled after a two-goal performance against Stoke last week. Fernando Torres is expected to be recalled in place of Demba Ba up front, despite the Senegalese hitman having a hand in Chelsea’s winner on Wednesday.
