[Teams] Newcastle vs Arsenal: Confirmed Line-Ups

By on December 29, 2013

Arsenal are in the North East to take on Newcastle United at St James’ Park looking to move back to the top of the Premier League.

The Gunners slipped to second after Manchester City beat Crystal Palace on Saturday but three points against the Magpies would see them back on top as we head into the New Year.

Arsene Wenger has made some changes from the side that beat West Ham. Mesut Ozil is out with a slight shoulder injury but Jack Wilshere returns from a two-match ban. Laurent Koscielny also comes in for Thomas Vermaelen – who doesn’t even make the bench as he’s been struck down by illness. Mathieu Flamini is in for Mikel Arteta.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Krul; Debuchy, Coloccini, Williamson, Santon; Anita, Tiote, Cabaye; Sissoko, Remy, Gouffran

Subs: Elliot, Haidara, Yanga-Mbiwa, Sammy Ameobi, Ben Arfa, Shola Ameobi, Cisse.

Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Flamini, Rosicky, Wilshere, Walcott, Cazorla, Giroud

Subs: Fabianski, Jenkinson, Arteta, Ryo, Bendtner, Gnabry, Podolski
