[Video Goals] Southampton 2-2 Arsenal: Impressive Saints Hold Leaders

Southampton put in an excellent display to hold league leaders Arsenal to a 2-2 draw at St Mary’s on Tuesday night.

The hosts took a deserved lead when Fonte headed home at the far post from a Shaw cross in the 21st minute, although Arsenal will feel aggrieved at the award of a free-kick in the build up while there were also question marks over whether Fonte had impeded Monreal.

Arsenal turned things around just after the break when Giroud and Cazorla made it 2-1 but the Saints levelled through Lallana shortly after. Mathieu Flamini was sent off for a two footed tackle in the 78th minute but Southampton could a way past the 10-men and the game ended 2-2.
