[Teams] Man City vs Chelsea: Confirmed Line-Ups

By on February 3, 2014

Manchester City play host to title rivals Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium tonight in what’s going to be a pivotal game in this years title chase.

City have a formidable record at home, winning all 11 games so far, so the Blues have their work cut out in trying to claim the win that would move them level on points with the hosts.

Jose Mourinho has opted to start Nemanja Matic and David Luiz in midfield with Oscar the one to miss out as Ramires also starts in attack alongside Eden Hazard and Willian.

Manuel Pellegrini has also deployed a defender in midfield with Demichelis surprisingly starting alongside Yaya Toure, while Alvaro Negredo returns up front in the absence of Sergio Aguero.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Man City

Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic, Kolarov; Navas, Demichelis, Toure, Silva; Dzeko, Negredo

Subs: Pantilimon, Boyata, Clichy, Milner, Rodwell, Lopes, Jovetic

Chelsea

Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Ramires, Luiz, Hazard, Matic, Willian, Eto’o
