Liverpool entertain Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime in a game of vital importance to both sides.
Arsenal head into the game sitting two points clear at the top of the Premier League table and could extend their advantage over the chasing pack with victory tomorrow.
However, Liverpool are also desperate for the points with the Merseysiders in a battle for fourth and will be looking to widen the gap on fifth placed Everton to five points with a win over the Gunners.
Brendan Rodgers has played down his sides chances of lifting the title this year but they will also put themselves back in the frame if they can beat the leaders on home soil this weekend.
An error from Kolo Toure saw Liverpool drop two points away at West Brom last weekend while Arsenal eased to a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace thanks to a double from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Arsene Wenger’s men won the reverse fixture 2-0 at the Emirates back in November and are also unbeaten in their last six visits to Anfield, so they should be confident of picking up a positive result tomorrow.
Team News
Rodgers has problems at the back once again this weekend. Daniel Agger hasn’t played since picking up a calf strain against Oldham last month while Mamadou Sakho hasn’t featured since late December because of a hamstring strain, and the duo will once again be missing this weekend.
This means that Kolo Toure will have to play against his former club and partner Martin Skrtel at the back. Jon Flanagan will continue at right-back in the absence of the injured Glen Johnson while Jose Enrique and Lucas Leiva are also still missing.
Arsenal welcome back Jack Wilshere after the midfielder made the trip to Merseyside following an ankle injury. Aaron Ramsey remains out with a thigh problem though, while Mathieu Flamini serves the second of his three-game ban.
New signing Kim Kallstrom has been ruled out for at least a month with a back injury and he joins Thomas Vermaelen on the sidelines with the defender still nursing a knee problem.
Yaya Sanogo is edging his way back to fitness but won’t be involved yet, while Theo Walcott and Abou Daiby are long-term absentees.
Likely Line-Ups

Key Man
Luis Suarez: Arsenal will be hoping the Uruguayan doesn’t come back to haunt them after their failed pursuit in the summer, but you wouldn’t bet against the striker finding the target and adding to his 23 goals already this season.
Predicted Score
Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal: The Gunners have been impressive at the back this season and we can see them keeping the hosts at bay for long periods and managing to come away with something from the game.

4 goals to 1 in favour of lfc. I will consider starting Joe Allen if I were to be in Rodgers’ shoes, and introducing Coutinho in the second half.

My candid advice to Ntufam Wenger is to off load Giroud and buy a professional striker like Carvani, Costa or even Ronaldo during the summer transfer window. The club has the money, let them spend it in singing dependable players and enjoy the game.

With Liverfool having 3 defenders injured and their combacting midfielder, you still think Arsenal wont beat them, funny, the way you never taught we will not qualify for top 4 this season.
