Tottenham Hotspur play host to Everton at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon with both sides desperate for three points to boost their top four hopes.

Tim Sherwood confirmed at his press conference this afternoon that Andros Townsend is back in the squad but I think he’ll come on as a second half substitute as they won’t want to risk him from the start after seven weeks out through injury.

This means Aaron Lennon is likely to retain his place on the right wing with Christian Eriksen on the left. Mousa Dembele returns to the fold after missing last weeks draw at Hull with an ankle injury and he could partner Paulinho in the center of midfield, although Nabil Bentaleb is also pushing for a start.

Jan Vertonghen made a successful return last week and he should continue alongside Michael Dawson with Vlad Chiriches still out with a back injury. Sherwood is expected to stick with two up front meaning Emmanuel Adebayor will start alongside Roberto Soldado, but Erik Lamela and Sandro remain unavailable.

Here’s the team we think Sherwood will go with:
