Liverpool had to come from behind twice to eventually beat Fulham 3-2 at Craven Cottage on Wednesday night thanks to a last minute Steven Gerrard penalty.

The visitors went ahead in comical fashion when Kolo Toure sliced a cross into his own net before Daniel Sturridge equalised just before half time, cooly slotting home after being sent clear by a stunning Steven Gerrard through-ball.

Kieran Richardson was on hand to fire Fulham ahead in the 63rd minute but Philippe Coutinho fired home for 2-2 just 10 minutes later. With the 90 minutes almost up, Sturridge was fouled in the box and Gerrard made no mistake from the penalty spot.
