Arsenal will be out for revenge as they welcome Liverpool to the Emirates on Sunday for their FA Cup fifth round clash.

Ahead of the game, Arsene Wenger has been speaking at his pre-match press conference today and gave Arsenal.com a team news update.

The good news for the Gunners is that midfielder Mathieu Flamini is available after serving a three-match ban following his sending off away at Southampton. The Frenchman is expected to come straight back in to the starting eleven this weekend.

However, Arsenal have been dealt a huge blow as it looks like attacker Santi Cazorla is likely to miss out after being struck down by illness. Wenger confirmed that the Spaniard is still in bed so it seems unlikely he’ll be fit to face Liverpool this weekend.

Wenger told the clubs official website:

on the players coming back…

We have only one player back, that’s Flamini. He comes back from suspension, not injury, so he should be fresh and available. That is the positive news we have.

on any players dropping out…

From Wednesday night I don’t think we’ll lose anybody. I have just been informed Cazorla is ill in bed today so he may not be available for Sunday.

Arsenal will continue to be without the injured Aaron Ramsey with the Welshman still nursing a thigh injury, and he joins Kim Kallstrom, Theo Walcott, Thomas Vermalen and Abou Diaby on the sidelines.

The north Londoners will be looking to bounce back following last Saturday’s 5-1 mauling by Liverpool at Anfield although Wenger has hinted he may look to make some changes for the game ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

I do hope our £24M signing love of failure attitude do not rub off on the squad.

Arsenal shouldn’t rest key players. They have to win or at least draw Liverpool in the FA cup. If we loose, it has an impact on our morale.

Arsenal will sure bounce back to beat liverpool as they won’t allow liverpool to beat them twice but wenger would be very wrong to rest player for up coming games.

I support him resting some players. He should rest Szczesny, Giroud, Arteta and Ozil. Bring in Fabianski, Flamini, Chamberlain and Sanago. The back four should remain. Rosicky should start.

Fabianski, Sagna (or Jenkinson), Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, flamini, Chamberlain, Rosicky, Gnabry, Podoski, Sanago

A change I would most certainly make is to play any one of our remaining FEW strikers rather than Giroud who is one big miss and certainly not a hit..

Any top striker would have put away some of the chances he’s had and as a result we’re lower in the table then we should be.

Let’s not make any other changes for sunday as knowing our luck just lately we’ll probably get beaten by B Munich anyway more’s the pity.

Sorry what I meant by stating lower in the table even though we’re top is that we could be so much higher in points thanks to Giroud’s misses.

I thinks wenger has made a mistake by not buying a striker because jiroud is slaking wenger plz he have like matured manager to arsenal baryan is not a small team that u will like that so know what to do if u miss trophy this season it mean are a disappointment as morinho called u bye up gunners.
