[Video Goals] Liverpool 4-3 Swansea: Henderson Hits Winner In Seven-Goal Thriller

By on February 23, 2014

Liverpool won a seven goal thriller at Anfield as Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge both helped themselves to braces to help the Merseysiders keep pace with the top three.

Sturridge opened the scoring in the 3rd minute before Henderson made it 2-0 shortly after with a wonderful strike. Swansea didn’t cave and pulled one back through a stunning effort from former midfielder Jonjo Shelvey before Wilfried Bony levelled things up at 2-2 – although it may go down as  Martin Skrtel own goal.

Sturridge grabbed his second to restore Liverpool’s lead but Bony made it 3-3 just after half-time from the penalty spot. A thrilling game was then settled when Henderson won it in the 74th minute to see Liverpool move to within one point of third-placed Manchester City and four off leaders Chelsea.
