Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool will take center stage as the Premier League title race hots up with each team selected to be shown live on TV at least three times each in April, Sky Sports and BT Sport have announced today.

Much may have changed by the time April comes around as there are some mouthwatering games coming up in March, but with just four points currently separating the top four heading into the final 11 games, it’s no wonder Sky Sports have chosen to concentrate on those battling for the title for the majority of their April live games.

The battle for the top four and European qualification is also high on the agenda for Sky Sports, with 16 of the 17 fixtures chosen for broadcast in April feature teams currently occupying the top six positions in the table, while BT Sport have also chosen to concentrate on the top teams with all three of their live games featuring teams in the top 7.

The first stand-out clash of the month sees Everton host Arsenal at Goodison Park on Sunday 6th April while both of Liverpool’s key games against fellow title rivals Man City and Chelsea at Anfield will be aired on Sky Sports on the 13th and 27th.

Here is a run-through of April’s live fixtures on Sky Sports:

  • Chelsea v Stoke, Saturday 5 April, 5.30pm
  • Everton v Arsenal, Sunday 6 April, 1.30pm
  • West Ham United v Liverpool, Sunday 6 April, 4.00pm
  • Tottenham Hotspur v Sunderland, Monday 7 April, 8.00pm
  • Arsenal v West Ham United, Sunday 13 April, 12.00pm
  • Liverpool v Manchester City, Sunday 13 April, 2.05pm
  • Swansea City v Chelsea, Sunday 13 April, 4.10pm
  • Hull City v Arsenal, Saturday 19 April, 5.30pm
  • Norwich City v Liverpool, Sunday 20 April, 12.00pm
  • Chelsea v Sunderland, Sunday 20 April, 2.05pm
  • Everton v Manchester United, Sunday 20 April, 4.10pm
  • Manchester City v West Bromwich Albion, Monday 21 April, 8.00pm
  • Manchester United v Norwich City, Saturday 26 April, 5.30pm
  • Sunderland v Cardiff City, Sunday 27 April, 12.00pm
  • Liverpool v Chelsea, Sunday 27 April, 2.05pm
  • Crystal Palace v Manchester City, Sunday 27 April, 4.10pm
  • Arsenal v Newcastle United, Monday 28 April, 8.00pm

…..And here’s the three games to be shown live on BT Sport in April:

  • Manchester City v Southampton – Saturday April 5, 12.45pm
  • Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham – Saturday April 19, 12.45pm
  • Southampton v Everton – Saturday April 26, 12.45pm

I can’t remember there ever being a time when so many matches featuring the teams at the top of the table were shown live in one month. Fans of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool will be particularly pleased as ALL of their Premier League fixtures will be broadcast live on TV.
