Tottenham Hotspur entertain Cardiff City at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon, here’s the latest team news and our predicted line-up.

Tim Sherwood is likely to make some changes to the side that came from behind to secure safe passage to the last 16 of the Europa League with a 3-2 aggregate win over Dnipro on Thursday night.

Roberto Soldado drew a blank once again upon his return to the side and he’s expected to make way with Paulinho coming back into the fold to play in the ‘hole’ behind Emmanuel Adebayor.

Aaron Lennon is likely to get a recall after only playing the final 5 minutes last night with Andros Townsend likely to make way, while Sandro could retain his place in midfield after making a successful return from injury against the Ukrainian’s.

Sherwood has also been boosted by the return to training of Kyle Walker so if he’s passed fit, Kyle Naughton should move across to left-back with Danny Rose still out through injury.

The likes of Etienne Capoue, Vlad Chiriches and Erik Lamela remain sidelined and Jermain Defoe is now off to Canada to link up with Toronto FC.

Here’s the line-up we think Sherwood will go with:

Tottenham head into the weekend six points adrift of fourth-placed Liverpool, so are in desperate need of all three points to keep their Champions League hopes alive.
