Liverpool take on Southampton at St Marys Stadium this evening looking to close in on the top three.

The Reds head into the game sitting just one point off third-placed Manchester City so can leapfrog their rivals with a win.

Brendan Rodgers has opted to bring Joe Allen in to the midfield with Raheem Sterling dropping to the bench. It’s the only change from the side that beat Swansea City 4-3 last Sunday so Daniel Agger keeps his place alongside Martin Skrtel at the back.
