Chelsea beat Fulham 3-1 this afternoon to move four points clear at the top of the Premier League table, with Andre Schurrle helping himself to a hat-trick.

Chelsea beat neighbours Fulham 3-1 at Craven Cottage this afternoon to move four points clear at the top of the Premier League table, with Andre Schurrle helping himself to a hat-trick.

The visitors took the lead shortly after half time when Schurrle burst clear to slot home for 1-0 before he calmly doubled the Blues advantage with another neat finish. The German then completed his treble with another decisive strike before Johny Heitinga grabbed a late consolation for Fulham.

The win sees Chelsea move four points clear of Arsenal, who lost 1-0 at Stoke today.
