[Video Highlights] Stoke 1-0 Arsenal: Koscielny Handball Dents Gunners Title Bid

Arsenal’s title bid took a serious hit after losing 1-0 to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

In what was a feisty game with very little quality, the hosts were gifted the winner when referee Mike Jones – who had a terrible game – generously awarded a penalty after Laurent Koscielny was adjudged to have handed on the edge of the box. We’ve certainly seen them given before, but the ball was about 2 yards away when it was kicked against the Frenchman’s arm.

Johnathon Walters converted from the spot to give Stoke the lead. We pushed for a leveller and the best chance fell to young Yaya Sanogo but he could only blaze over from 8 yards when unmarked in the dying seconds.
