Arsenal are in Germany to take on Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie.

The Gunners head into the game needing to overturn a two-goal deficit following the first leg, so they have it all to do to beat the reigning champions to book their place in the quarter finals.

Boss Arsene Wenger has decided to start Thomas Vermaelen at left-back with Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal both out through injury. Laurent Koscielny comes back in after passing a late fitness test. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain keeps his place while Lukas Podolski starts in attack. Arsenal are only able to name six subs as Ryo Miyachi picked up a knock in Germany.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Bayern Munich

Neuer, Lahm, Martinez, Dante, Alaba, Schweinsteiger, Thiago, Robben, Götze, Ribery, Mandzukic

Subs: Starke – van Buyten, Rafinha, Pizarro, Boateng, Müller, Kroos

Arsenal

Fabianski, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Vermaelen; Arteta, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Cazorla, Ozil, Podolski; Giroud.

Subs: Viviano, Flamini, Gnabry, Jenkinson, Rosicky, Hayden
