[Teams] Tottenham vs Benfica: Confirmed Line-Ups

By on March 13, 2014

Tottenham Hotspur entertain Benfica at White Hart Lane this evening in the first leg of their Europa League last 16 tie.

Boss Tim Sherwood has surprisingly handed a start to young striker Harry Kane as he starts alongside Emmanuel Adebayor in attack tonight. Kyle Naughton plays at left-back with Danny Rose not risked from the start, but Christian Eriksen does return to the first eleven having recovered from a back injury.

Aaron Lennon, Paulinho and Sandro make-up the rest of the midfield while Jan Vertonghen returns to his usual centre-back role after filling in at left-back last weekend and starts alongside Younes Kaboul.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Lloris; Walker, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Naughton; Lennon, Paulinho, Sandro, Eriksen; Adebayor, Kane

Subs: Friedel, Fryers, Rose, Bentaleb, Chadli, Townsend, Soldado.

Oblak, Silvio, Garay, Luisão, Siqueira, Fejsa, Rúben Amorim, Sulejmani, Markovic, Rodrigo, Cardozo

Subs: Artur, Almeida, Jardel, Perez, Djuricic, Gaitan, Lima.
