Manchester United got back to winning ways in the Premier League with a hard fought 2-0 win over West Ham at Upton Park on Saturday night.
Wayne Rooney opened the scoring early on with an audacious effort from the halfway line, with the striker hitting a swerving effort on the half-volley that found it’s way past Adrian into the net.
The England hitman was then on hand to tap home a second in the 33rd minute from close range and although the hosts pushed hard in the second half, United held on for the three points to move to within two points of sixth-placed Spurs.
