Arsenal are hopeful Aaron Ramsey will be back to face Wigan in the FA Cup semi final while they haven’t given up hope Jack Wilshere will also be involved, according to Mirror.

Ramsey has been on the sidelines for over three months after suffering a thigh injury against West Ham on Boxing Day and his comeback has been hampered by a series of set backs.

However, Arsene Wenger confirmed the midfielder is set to return to full training on Thursday and the Mirror claims he has made substantial progress in recent days, with the clubs medical staff are now hopeful he’ll be fit in time to play at Wembely on 12th April.

It would be a huge boost to have Ramsey back as his energy and goal threat has sorely missed in recent months, so fingers crossed he doesn’t suffer any further set backs when he returns to training next week.

And somewhat surprisingly, Wilshere could be set for an early return from injury. The 22-year-old was ruled out for six weeks after fracturing a bone in his foot while playing for England at the start of March.

However, the newspaper suggests that Arsenal are also hopeful Wilshere will be fit enough to play some part against Wigan after stepping up his rehabilitation in recent days. Obviously it would be great to have Jack available, but I hope we don’t rush him back too soon.

While it looks like we could have Rambo and Wilshere in contention against Wigan, the Mirror state that Laurent Koscielny has an outside chance of making the FA Cup clash as he continues to nurse a calf injury, but Mesut Ozil is still considered a major doubt with a hamstring injury.

The 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Saturday all-but ended our title hopes for this season so even more focus should now be placed on the FA Cup, and it would be a massive lift if we could get some of our injured players back in time to face the Latics.
