[Video Highlights] Liverpool 3-2 Man City: Coutinho Sends 10-Man Reds Clear

Liverpool moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League table after a thrilling 3-2 win over Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds raced into a 2-0 lead after a cool finish from Raheem Sterling before Martin Skrtel headed home a second in the 26th minute following a Steven Gerrard corner.

City pulled one back through David Silva just after the break and the visitors levelled things up at 2-2 when his cross was turned into his own net by Glen Johnson just five minutes later.

However, Liverpool weren’t to be denied as Philippe Coutinho punished a poor clearance by Vincent Kompany to make it 3-2 and Brendan Rodgers men held on despite having Jordan Henderson sent off in the dying minutes to move five clear at the top of the league.
