Liverpool will be looking to capitalise on any slip up from Manchester City when they take on Newcastle United at Anfield on the final day of the season this Sunday.

Brendan Rodgers has virtually a fully-fit squad to choose form with only Jose Enrique unavailable, with the Spanish defender continuing his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury.

Enrique’s absence will mean young Jon Flanagan continues to fill in at left-back and the rest of the defence is expected to remain unchanged, despite the Merseysiders throwing away a three-goal lead away at Crystal Palace last time out.

Jordan Henderson returns after serving his three-match suspension and is likely to come straight back in alongside Steven Gerrard in midfield, with Joe Allen and Lucas Leiva possibly dropping out.

With victory essential this weekend, Rodgers is also expected to field an attacking line-up and will most likely play both Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho in attack. Daniel Sturridge is fit to start after coming through the Palace game unscathed so he’ll support Luis Suarez up front.
