Arsenal rounded-off their Premier League season with a 2-0 win over Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon.
The game started off slowly and the deadlock wasn’t broken until after the break when Aaron Ramsey smashed home Olivier Giroud’s cross on the volley before Carl Jenkinson made it 2-0 just minutes later with a close range finish.
Here are my ratings from the game:
The Pole was selected today which could suggest Szczesny will get the nod in the FA Cup final, but Lukasz did his chances no harm with a solid display.
Scored his first goal for the club with a neat finish from 8 yards, and was solid enough at right-back.
Was surprisingly picked at centre-back but was excellent. Will be a huge loss if he ends up leaving.
Another impressive shift from the Frenchman and looked comfortable alongside his new defensive partner.
Good to see him back in the team. Was caught out of position a couple of times but his pace helped him recover.
Kept things moving in midfield and was a consummate pro once again.
What. A. Goal. It wasn’t Rambo’s best overall display of the season by any means, but he deserves a good mark simply for his goal.
Quiet days work from Rosicky but he still worked hard and was useful when on the ball.
Some excellent movement and interchange of passing at times, but not at his influential best.
The German linked up well with Giroud on at least two occasions that led to goal scoring opportunities. Poldi went close to scoring himself a few times before setting up Jenkinson for his goal.
Very good performance from Giroud. He looked fresh and was fighting for every ball. Set up Rambo with a lovely cross and almost scored on a couple of occasions himself.
Wilshere 6/10 – Back from his eight week lay off but understandably looked a little rusty.
Diaby 6/10 – Great to see him back.
Sanogo 6/10 – Went close to scoring his first goal in an Arsenal shirt but it wasn’t to be.
So attentions now turn to next weeks FA Cup final where hopefully we can end our much talked about trophy drought.
