If the rumours mills are to be believed then January could the month that many football fans will be suprised by!The Arsenal is not renowed for buying English players but it seems he has his eye on a few.
Bolton Wanderers centre back Gary Cahill has long been linked with a move to Arsenal and rumours suggest that this move could take place in January. Cahill is exactly what Arsenal need! A big, strong, no nonsense defender who loves to defend. This is something that Arsenal haven’t had since Martin Keown. I am a big fan of Cahill and i hope this move happens.
Rumours also suggest that young Preston North End midfielder Adam Barton could also be on the Frenchmans list.Barton is a young and very promising centre midfielder who has gone from strength to strength since being released from Blackburn Rovers and signing for Preston.Although a bit of an unknown quantity Barton is very highly thought of in football circles.Other names have been mentioned such as Blackburn youngster Phil Jones but we will have to wait and see whether this will happen……..

And if true its about bloody time too. Some of us have been begging Arsene to do this since the fab six retired. We remember that after inheriting them Arsene added a few attackers etc and won the lot. BUT the defence was all English and it showed !!! Just look at the wimps AW has brought in since we lost THE SIX ???
Dont hold your breath as I expect AW to bring someone like Mexes free….he is French after all and passed it.

is also a welcome development we love to see more of english players so we can get more english supporters.

Makes me smile, January approaching and speculation about possible transfers, well forget it, other clubs are after these said players and they will offer actual money, these clubs are looking to move their clubs to the top and can honestly offer these young Englishmen a good chance of trophys. Now you know and i know we wont spend, allso these are big men we dont use big men, Chesney and Jet only employed as ceiling painters at Arsenal, as far as transfers go unless a player with an unpronouncable name, and no taller than fivefootfive comes along forget it.

Micahel Ciana is so much better than Cahill. Cahill is overpriced for a player who has achieved nothing just because he’s English.
