Manchester United take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this afternoon looking to kick start their season after losing to Swansea on the opening day.

Louis van Gaal has been handed a major boost with Robin van Persie back in the starting eleven and the Dutchman starts up front alongside Wayne Rooney with Juan Mata in the ‘hole’.

Antonio Valencia returns at right wing-back while Tom Cleverley starts in midfield with Darren Fletcher, and Ashley Young fills in on the left side.
