[Video Goals] Leicester 1-1 Arsenal: Sanchez Goal Not Enough For Sluggish Gunners

By on August 31, 2014

An Alexis Sanchez goal wasn’t enough as Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw by Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

We started on the front foot and took the lead in the 20th minute when Sanchez fired home from about six yards out after Yaya Sanogo had cut the ball back.

However, instead of protecting our lead we allowed the hosts back in the game after some dreadful defending let Ulloa head home to make it 1-1 in the 22nd minute. Laurent Koscielny was at fault but he should never have been allowed back on the field after receiving lengthy treatment for a head injury.

We never really found our fluency in the game and failed to muster up too many clear cut chances and in the end a draw was a fair result.

Watch the goals here.
