Manchester United forward Danny Welbeck is undergoing a medical at Arsenal’s London Colney training base with the Gunners set to beat Tottenham to his signature, according to reports.

With United on the verge of signing Radamel Falcao from Monaco, it seems Welbeck has been told he’s free to leave Old Trafford and reports claim the England ace has snubbed interest from Tottenham and chosen to join North London rivals Arsenal instead.

Sky Sports News are claiming that Welbeck is currently undergoing a medical at Arsenal’s London Colney training base, where he’s been training with the rest of the England squad today ahead of Wednesday’s friendly with Norway.

It’s understood the 23-year-old will join the Gunners on a one-year loan deal, even though United would have preferred to do business with Spurs, but Welbeck wanted Arsenal and the two clubs have supposedly agreed a £6m loan fee.

Arsene Wenger has been on the look out for a striker after Olivier Giroud was ruled out for four months with a broken tibia and it appears the Frenchman has chosen to bring in a player with Premier League experience and is able to hit the ground running.

Spurs wants him as Arsenal have rejected any deal.
He failed his medical at Arsenal so spurs have renewed their interest in him!
      Good Business for Spurs!

Worst deal ever if it is a lone deal.
Conflict of loyalties when Arsenal compete with Manchester United!
Not only a spanner in the works but also a manu spy!
If this is not a (could have got Falcao for the same price for a one year) lone deal and is instead a permanent deal then -good business. Otherwise Manu got Falcao for nothing as Arsenal have paid for him (except wages)at £6million and we got a manu spy!

26 career PL goals and he is 24, the words Danny Welbeck and Good business do not belong in the same sentence

Agreed, but I was thinking of £6m permanent move!

Arsenal should have got Ibrahimovic. Still a world class player and at 32 he would be cheap enough and good cover on a temporary basis. He is one of the best lone strikers, made for the E

He needs a lone striker with a physical presence and a good conversion rate. He’s looking at Huntler but,
Arsenal should have got Ibrahimovic. Still a world class player and at 32 he would be cheap enough and good cover on a temporary basis. He is one of the best lone strikers, made for the English League. perfect for Arsenal. Scored a hatrick against England.
