Don’t see Stambouli and Capoue playing together in DM roles. They are both similar and he needs one of them to be creative and moving ball forward with incisive passing. They are vying for same spot of enforcer in front of back four. I think it will be Capoue and Bentaleb and he may sub in Stambouli for Capoue if things aren’t going well in that role or just to see how Stambouli does. I think Fazio might get a look instead of Kaboul. Sunderland would be good opposition for Fazio’s defensive style.

Stambouli will be able to play more forward passes and creative play than bentaleb while still giving us more defensive cover, win win COYS

Serious, I don’t think that is right. Stambouli is an out and out enforcer and although he does make a decisive pass now and then, it is not his main role being a DM. It will either be Paulinho or Bentaleb next to Capoue or it will be Capoue dropped for Stambouli.
I am also hoping they play Eriksen on the wing and Lamela behind Adebayor although they will probably interchange anyway.
We have so many good players not playing at the moment: Dembele, Paulinho, Fazio, Walker, Lennon, Chiriches, Kane, Soldado, Vorm, Stambouli, Rose, Townsend.
My Starting 11,
LLoris
Dier Fazio Vert Davies
Capoue Paulinho
Eriksen Lamela Chadli
Adebayor or Kane

Please don’t put Rose in a sentence when you say we have ‘good’ players out at the moment….it just makes you look silly !

Or simply a person with an opinion, like you. Actually I would have agreed with you last season but this year I have been more impressed.

I hadn’t been thinking about the like-for-like pairing of Capoue and Stambouli…but I agree…and think the Capoue/Paulinho pairing makes sense (also to give the latter playing time and confidence).

We need to be strong at the back.
Having a New left back and right back is worrying enough, throw in a new CB aswell and we will get turned over, even by Sunderland if wer not careful!
line up wise..
Lloris
Dier. Kaboul. Fazio. Verts
Capoue
Chadli. Paulinho. Eriksen. Lamela
