By on September 13, 2014

Premier League action returns after the international break as Arsenal take on champions Manchester City at the Emirates this afternoon.

The Gunners welcome back Kieran Gibbs and Mikel Arteta into the squad but Arsene Wenger has decided to start them both on the bench with Nacho Monreal and Mathieu Flamini keeping their places.

Aaron Ramsey passes a late fitness test to start in midfield alongside Jack Wilshere while Danny Welbeck makes his debut up front.

Manchester City are without Yaya Toure with Manuel Pellegrini leaving him out entirely after he arrived back late from international duty with the Ivory Coast. Frank Lampard starts in his place. Jesus Navas also gets the nod over Samir Nasri on the right while James Milner also gets a rare start.
