[Video Goals] Chelsea 1-1 Schalke: Fabregas Goal Not Enough As Blues Held

Chelsea kicked their Champions League campaign off with a 1-1 draw against Schalke at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

Cesc Fabregas got the Blues off to the perfect start when he exchanged passes with Eden Hazard before slotting home for 1-0 in the 11th minute. Although the visitors were incensed as they felt the Spaniard had committed a foul in the build up.

Chelsea were made to pay for not doubling their advantage as Schalke levelled things up midway through the second half when Fabregas was robbed of possession in the center circle before Klaas-Jan Huntelaar fired home from the edge of the area for 1-1.

Neither side could force a winner so the game ended in a draw, but the Germans will be far happier with the result. Watch the goals here:
