By on September 20, 2014

Liverpool slumped to their second consecutive Premier League defeat with a 3-1 loss away to West Ham on Saturday evening.

The Hammers came flying out the blocks and opened the scoring in just the 2nd minute when Winston Reid was on hand to head home from close range following a set piece, and Sakho made it 2-0 just 5 minutes later when he chipped Mignolet from the right with the ball just going over the line before Valencia got a touch.

Liverpool got themselves back in the game when Raheem Sterling smashed home a powerful effort from the edge of the box but the hosts held on and sealed the three points when sub Amalfitano poked home a third late on.
