Arsenal cruised to a 3-0 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon to register our first three points in the Premier League since the opening day of the season.

All three goals came within a crazy 4 minute spell midway through the first half with Mesut Ozil opening the scoring with a cool finish before the German set up Danny Welbeck to score his first goal for the club since his £16m move from Man Utd.

Kieran Gibbs then forced an own goal to seal the three points and send the players back to North London in positive mood after our disappointing result in Dortmund last week.

After the game, several players took to Twitter to react to the win with Ozil, Lukas Podolski, Calum Chambers and Kieran Gibbs all having their say on the win, while injured defender Mathieu Debuchy also posted a message on his Facebook page congratulating Arsenal, and in particular Danny Welbeck for opening his account for the club.

Debuchy’s message read:

Great lads! Very happy for the win! Congrats to Danny #Welbeck who scored his first goal for Arsenal! #AVFCvAFC #COYG

It was vital for us to get back to winning ways and secure three points in the league ahead of a double header against Tottenham and Chelsea, and the players were clearly pleased with the win:
