Capital One Cup 4th Round Draw: Chelsea & Liverpool Face Tricky Tests

Tottenham, Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool all avoided each other in the Capital One Cup fourth round draw, which was held on Wednesday evening.

Chelsea booked their place in the draw with a 2-1 win over Bolton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night and they’ll now face a tricky trip to face Shrewsbury Town in the fourth round.

Tottenham Hotspur beat Nottingham Forest at White Hart Lane tonight and they’ve been rewarded with a home clash against Brighton in the next round after they beat Burton 3-0.

Premier League champions Manchester City thrashed Sheffield Wednesday 7-0 at the Etihad and they will host the winner of Crystal Palace and Newcastle with the pair currently drawing 2-2 in their third round clash [at the time of writing].

Liverpool booked their place in the hat with a dramatic 14-13 penalty shootout victory over Middlesbrough on Tuesday night and Brendan Rodgers men will now face Swansea City at Anfield in the next round after they beat Everton.

Other ties see Stoke take on Southampton, Bournemouth will play West Brom, MK Dons face Sheffield United and Fulham will take on Derby.

Ties will be played on the week commencing October 27.
