[Teams] Newcastle vs Liverpool: Confirmed Line-Ups

By on November 1, 2014

Liverpool will be looking to get their Premier League campaign back on track when they take on Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Saturday lunchtime.

Brendan Rodgers has recalled Alberto Moreno to the starting line-up with Glen Johnson moving across to right-back. Martin Skrtel also comes back in along with skipper Steven Gerrard after both were rested in midweek.

Joe Allen and Jordan Henderson start in midfield while Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho support Mario Balotelli in attack. Fabio Borini will feel a little unfortunate to drop back to the bench after a good showing against Swansea.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Krul; Janmaat, S.Taylor, Coloccini, Dummett; Sissoko, Abeid, Colback; Obertan, Cisse, Ameobi.

Subs: Elliot, Haidara, R.Taylor, Aarons, Cabella, Gouffran, Perez.

Mignolet, Johnson, Moreno, Lovren, Skrtel, Gerrard, Allen, Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling, Balotelli.

Subs: Jones, Toure, Manquillo, Lallana, Can, Lambert, Borini.

Whats your predicted score now we’ve seen the teams?

8 vs 11 from the starting whistle… The inclusion of Allen, Skrtel and Johnson is very disappointing… Rodgers has lost it… His persistence in using these 3 fellas shall cause Pool dearly… No attacking thrust in attack… Killing the spirit of the squad with these 3 poor players… Doesn’t serve the team spirit any good even if squad players had played well in previous games… DISAPPOINTING…!!!
