Liverpool take on in-form European champions Real Madrid at the Bernabeu tonight in the group stages of the Champions League.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has surprisingly made wholesale changes to his starting eleven with several key men rested ahead of Saturday’s clash with Chelsea.

Steven Gerrard, Dejan Lovren, Jordan Henderson, Philippe Coutinho, Raheem Sterling and Mario Balotelli are all left on the bench this evening.

In comes Kolo Toure, Lucas Leiva, Emre Can, Adam Lallana, Lazar Markovic while Fabio Borini gets a rare start up front.

As for Madrid, Garteh Bale returns to the bench as Isco keeps his place in attack.
