[Video Goals] Tottenham 1-2 Stoke: Chadli Stunner Not Enough For 10-Man Spurs

By on November 9, 2014

Tottenham’s woes at White Hart Lane continued as they were beaten 2-1 by Stoke City on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors came flying out the blocks and took an early lead when on-loan forward Bojan Krkic was allowed to travel half the length of the pitch before firing low past Hugo Lloris in the 7th minute.

Stoke then stunned the Lane by doubling their advantage then Jon Walters was left free to tap home from close range after being set up by Mame Biram Diouf just after the half-hour mark.

Spurs pulled one back in the 67th minute when Nacer Chadli smashed home a Danny Rose cross on the volley for 1-2 but any chance of a late equaliser were dented when Kyle Naughton was given his marching orders for taking out Diouf when he was through on goal in the 84th minute.

Stoke held on to secure the win and with it leapfrog Tottenham into ninth place in the Premier League table with Spurs now down in 12th.
