[Video Goals] Swansea 2-1 Arsenal: Gomis Seals Stunning Comeback For Swans

By on November 9, 2014

Arsenal blew a lead for the second game in succession as Swansea came from a goal down to win 2-1 at the Liberty Stadium this afternoon.

After a goalless first half, in-form striker Alexis Sanchez opened the scoring in the 63rd minute, with the Chilean international making no mistake from close range after some wonderful work in the build-up from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Danny Welbeck.

However, Swansea levelled things up in spectacular fashion with former Spurs midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson curling home a stunning 25-yard free-kick in the 75th minute before substitute Bafetimbi Gomis headed home what turned out to be the winner three minutes later.

We pushed for a late equaliser but couldn’t find a way through so we head into the international break sitting sixth in the Premier League table and a full 12 points adrift of leaders Chelsea.
