Arsenal slumped to a disappointing 2-1 defeat away at Swansea City on Sunday afternoon after letting slip a lead for the second consecutive game. Here are player ratings from Gooner Mac.
Szczesny 6/10 | Made a couple of decent stops before being given no chance from Sigurdsson’s free-kick. Left wrong-footed for the winner.
Chambers 4/10 | Very poor performance. Given a tough time by Montero all game and allowed him to cross too easily for the winning goal.
Monreal 5/10 | Was having a steady game until he was beaten way too easily by Gomis in the air for Swansea’s second.
Mertesacker 6/10 | His height was important on a few occasions but was nowhere to be seen when Gomis powered home his header.
Gibbs 6/10 | Subdued going forward but didn’t give too much away down his flank as the hosts targetted Chambers.
Flamini 5/10 | Offered little protection to the defence as Swansea cut through us to win the free-kick in the build up to the first goal. Remains a weak link.
Ramsey 5/10 | Disappointing form continues. Looks a shadow of the player we saw last year. Hopefully he’s back to his best soon as we need him.
The Ox 8/10 | Excellent display. Full of running and was the only player to really cause Swansea problems. Set up the goal with a great run.
Cazorla 5/10 | Couldn’t get in the game enough, but he did play a key pass in the build up to the goal.
Sanchez 6.5/10 | Had a very quiet game but popped up in the right place at the right time to score our goal. Looked frustrated for the most part.
Welbeck 6/10 | Moved out to the left for much of the second half and didn’t offer a lot. Still worked hard as always.
Walcott 5/10 | On for the final 10 minutes and showed a rusty touch when put through by Sanchez.
Wilshere 5/10 | Played two poor through-balls as we searched for a late leveller.
Sanogo N/A | On too late for a mark.
