By on November 23, 2014

Liverpool slumped to their fourth consecutive defeat after letting slip a one-goal lead to lose 3-1 at Crystal Palace this afternoon.

The Reds got off to the perfect start when Rickie Lambert latched on to Adam Lallana’s superb pass to fire home for 1-0 in just the 2nd minute.

However, Palace rallied and pulled level in the 17th minute when Simon Mignolet parried Yannack Bolasie’s long-range effort only for Dwight Gayle to poke home for 1-1.

The hosts then took the lead with 15 minutes remaining when Joe Ledley was on hand to cooly slot home from a Bolasie cut-back before Mile Jedinak sealed the turn-around with a stunning free-kick in the 81st minute.

The loss was Liverpool’s fourth in a row and leaves them languishing down in 12th place in the Premier League table after their worst start since 1992.
