Huge Boost For Arsenal: Wenger Confirms Koscielny’s Back For Dortmund Clash

Arsenal have been handed a huge boost with Arsene Wenger confirming that Laurent Koscielny is back in the squad to face Borussia Dortmund tomorrow.

Koscielny hasn’t featured since our 2-0 defeat away at Chelsea at the start of October after aggravating an Achilles injury while away with the France squad and he wasn’t expected back until next month.

However, he was a surprising face at this mornings training session and now Arsene Wenger has told reporters at his pre-match press conference this afternoon that the defender is in the squad to face Borussia Dortmund at the Emirates tomorrow night.

It’s not clear whether Koscielny will be deemed fit enough to start as he’s only had one training session in over six weeks, but it’s a major boost to have him back in contention.

During his absence, Arsenal have looked vulnerable at the back as Nacho Monreal has been forced to play out-of-position alongside Per Mertesacker in the centre of defence, and there’s no doubt we’ll be a far more solid unit with Koscielny back in the side.
