Arsenal eased to an impressive 4-1 in over Galatasaray on Tuesday night but narrowly missed out on finishing top of their Champions League group.

Lukas Podolski smashed home the opening goal before Aaron Ramsey made it 2-0 with a calm finish in the 11th minute. The Welshman then made it 3-0 just after the hour mark with one of the best goals your ever likely to see as he thrashed home a left-footed volley from fully 30 yards right into the top corner.

Gala pulled one back through a trademark Wesley Sneijder free-kick before Podolski got his second with the last kick of the game to make the final score 4-1.

The win sees Arsenal finish level on points with Borussia Dortmund on 13 points after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Anderlecht, but the German’s progress as group winners due to their superior goal difference.

Several players have taken to Twitter to react to the win with goal-scorers Ramsey and Podolski joined by team-mates Mesut Ozil, Hector Bellerin, Calum Chambers, Emi Martinez, Mathieu Debuchy and Joel Campbell in taking to the social network to celebrate the victory.
