By on December 13, 2014

Chelsea maintained their six point advantage at the top of the Premier League table with a 2-0 win over Hull City at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

The Blues opened the scoring inside 10 minutes when Eden Hazard met Oscar’s superb cross from the left to power home a header from 10 yards out for 1-0.

Hull’s chances of finding an equaliser were dashed when Tom Huddlestone was sent off midway through the second half for a second bookable offence.

Chelsea made their man advantage count as Diego Costa made it 2-0 shortly after as the Spaniard fired low past McGregor after being found by a Hazard pass.

The win ensures Chelsea keep their six point lead over Manchester City after they beat Leicester 1-0 at the King Power this afternoon.
